Ridgecrest Belly Dance is meant to help inspire
people, mostly women probably, to open their eyes to something artistic
and cultural. Those who take Shelly's classes do not have to
necessarily perform in various shows, but with the beneficial and fun
dance combinations students leave every class feeling accomplished and
inspired to better themselves. Belly dance is for people of all ages
and sizes, and you're invited to try it out!
About Shelly:

\
Shelly Burgwald, Certified Instructor and
Belly Dance Artist
A
passion for creating art and presenting it to an audience is Shelly's
reason for dancing. Several years of experience in classical ballet,
modern, and jazz led her to the world of belly dance, more specifically
tribal fusion belly dance. Performing and teaching belly dance
throughout the community and during at UC Santa Cruz, has given her
great opportunities to tour as a soloist and with her dance companies,
Sabbirah and Nebula Tribal, throughout southern California and Las
Vegas. In August of 2009, she became certified in General Skills for
American Tribal Style through a several-day intensive with the creator
of this dance form, Carolena Nericcio, director of Fat Chance Belly
Dance. With plans of learning from as many well-respected instructors
as possible she will continue to grow as a dancer, instructor, and
performer.
Shelly is currently in training with Deb Rubin, a professional belly dance artist and yoga instructor. Visit her website http://www.sattyabody.com for classes and workshops offered.
